youth art & entrepreneurship program
The Youth Art and Entrepreneurship Program has been a standout feature of Arts in the Park for years, and this year, it’s set to inspire and empower a new generation of young artists and entrepreneurs. Led by GK Callahan and Ms. Heather, both seasoned Arts in the Park committee members and practicing artists, this dynamic program offers a unique opportunity for talented youth to dive deep into the world of art and business.
Over the course of a four-week session, a select group of young artists will learn the essential skills needed to create, promote, and sell their artwork. From building their craft to understanding the ins and outs of entrepreneurship, these students will be fully prepared to showcase and sell their art at Arts in the Park.
Students will sell their creations from the NKC Parks and Rec tent, where they will have the opportunity to engage with the festival audience. For those who have completed the program previously or already run their own art or maker businesses, will display and sell their work from their own tent, located right next to the Parks and Rec tent.
